How to get better results
- Keep the subject dead center. Platforms crop a circle out of your square, and anything in the corners is gone.
- High contrast beats fine detail. A two-tone graphic will out-read a photorealistic portrait at thumbnail size every time.
- Avoid text entirely in a PFP; it will never be legible at the size it gets displayed.
- Test it properly: save the image, set it as your actual profile picture somewhere, and look at it in a feed before committing.
